Welcome

Play Date: Thursday February 26, 2026

This Week’s Game: Mutt & Jeff – Basic Stroke play, but team score will be on each par 5 and par 3 holes.

Calling all GOLF DIVAS! The Member/Guest …. March 19th. We are less than a month away! There is still time to register.
Dianne has several new things this year. We will be starting with coffee and sweets on the patio at 8:30. There you can have your team picture taken in the photo booth and can participate in 2 games with prizes. Even you late morning risers will have fun if you come out.
  1. Blind Putter – 1 wears a blindfold while their partner gives directions. If you make the putt, both team members get a prize.

  2. Hit & Get It – Putting from a designated spot if you hit a prize you win it.
Sounds like fun! These 2 games are what she needs prizes for. Hit & Get it she’d like bottles of wine/alcohol since, I guess those targets might be a little easier to hit. There is a box in the back room of the Pro Shop. Clean out your liquor cabinet of things you don’t drink!

I’ll tell you all about the 5 Advantages, winnings, prizes and more next week.
We will again auction off the 5 Pro’s. John , Travis, Jeron, Joey and Chris. So, get 3 friends together to bid on 1 or more, get your husbands/significant others to band together to place a bid, too. My husband and a couple of other guys came up with $300 last year to play with Chris. (by the way if you win, you don’t need to pay greens fees, so bid HI!) Remember this is a Charity Event!

Baskets – Leah needs your baskets or at least the info sheet so she knows what to expect.

Silent Auction – We have great golf courses, near and far, in the auction with other super things.

This year’s charity is the Neighbor’s Who Care Meal Delivery Program- We’ll have a guest speaker at one of our upcoming play days, so you can learn why this program is so important to our Sun Lakes Community and the amount of food insecure homes we have within our own backyard.

Last week we had a play day with the Cottonwood 18 Holers. We have received so many kudos from the 18 holers for a great event. Thank you all who played for making them feel welcome. Surprising to find out how many had never heard of or had a “taco in a bag” or a “walking taco”.
Thanks to our party organizers Cindy Fulton, Marcy Gale, Jill Brindley and Lorri Morgan, for such a great job! Also, thanks to Marcy for the scrumptious key lime pie desserts and Tina Hankin for the Fireball Gummie Bears. If you didn’t get one or both, you really missed out; they were awesome!

Street Queen Tacos (next to Basha’s) provided everything for the tacos. Ever taste guac like that? They have great authentic Mexican food and if you haven’t tried them, you must. We need to support our local small business, you get a heaping amount of food, well worth the price.

See you on the patio this Thursday at 12:30.
