The Cottonwood Lady Niners play a nine-hole shotgun every Thursday afternoon from November to the end of May. Ladies of all ages and ability (including novice golfers) find this fun-loving group friendly and tolerant of all skill levels. Immediately following golf, members enjoy rehashing the day’s play in the club lounge. We welcome ladies from all phases of Sun Lakes to join. A number of seasonal luncheons and play dates with other ladies’ leagues in Sun Lakes are held throughout the season. We hold our fun Member/Guest event in the spring. MEMBER/GUEST UPDATE!!

Welcome to this year’s Cottonwood Lady Niners Member Guest. We appreciate your participation in our tourney. As many of you may or may not know, our Member Guest is always a fundraiser with proceeds going to a worthy charity. This year’s charity is the Neighbor’s Who Care Meal Delivery Program- We discovered our Sun Lakes Community has a large number of food insecure homes right within our own backyard. Our funds will help support the needs of this program providing food assistance.
 
This year’s Member Guest schedule will be:
 
8:30 AM – Join us on the Pro Shop Patio (new this year)
  • Coffee and scones on the CW Pro Shop Patio
  • Have your team photo taken at the photo booth
  • Participate in the games on the putting green (free)
  1. Blind Putter – 1 wears a blindfold while their partner gives directions. If you make the putt, both team members get a prize.
  2. Hit & Get It – Putting from a designated spot if you hit a prize you win it.
  • Get your Split the Pot Tickets $5 for 8 tickets - $20 per winner drawn
10:00 AM Check in starts in the San Tan Ballroom
  • Purchase your basket raffle tickets ($20 for 25 tickets) (winners will be drawn while we golf, so make sure you get your tickets in the bags.
  • Bid on Silent Auction items
  • Purchase our team DIVA Entitlements – All 3 for $10
  • Get your Split the Pot Tickets $5 for 8 tickets - $20 per winner drawn
  • Pick up your Swag Bag
11:00 AM – Buffet of hot appetizers including Chicken Skewers, Fried Shrimp, Fresh Fruits, Pretzel Bites and more. Cash bar.
  • Pro Auction: John , Travis, Jeron, Joey and Chris. So get 3 friends together to bid on 1 or more, get your husbands/significant others to band together to place a bid, too. My husband and a couple other guys came up with $300 last year to play with Chris. (by the way if you win, you don’t need to pay greens fees, so bid HIGH!) Remember this is a Charity Event!
  • Brief presentation from Neighbors Who Care
1:00 Golf scramble starts
  • Look for – Longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin, (member and guest on different holes)
4:00 PMish – Dessert, Prize Awards, Silent Auction ends (bids must be in by 4 PM)
The silent auction will end at 4:00.
